Ideal for family holidays and special occasions, this stunning former farmhouse is wrapped in mature gardens and surrounded by fields. Dating to the 1600s, this large flint property offers flexible living accommodation for up to ten guests, and welcomes up to two dogs. Offering loads of space for relaxing and socialising, and plenty of entertainment, you may find it difficult to tear yourselves away. But there are glorious sandy beaches and many sights and attractions nearby to tempt you. Rustic features such as exposed beamed ceilings and lovely fireplaces give the cottage plenty of character. But it’s been sympathetically restored for the modern traveller with contemporary decor in a warm and homely style.

About Bizewell Farmhouse

Make yourselves comfortable in the inviting lounge, which boasts a brick fireplace with a wood burner and plenty of comfortable seating, or retire to the cosy snug and library. If you’re feeling playful, there’s a games room offering several table games or put up the badminton net in the back garden and challenge your travelling companions to a game. The grounds include a river, woodland and bridges, so young children and dogs should be supervised outside. Rustle up delicious meals in the shaker-style kitchen then gather in the impressive dining room, or fire up the BBQ and dine alfresco. Upstairs, there are five bedrooms, handy for accommodating large groups and two bathrooms. A further shower room with WC is located downstairs and, a utility room take care of all practicalities. A long sandy beach runs along this coast, with the easiest access points at Overstrand and Trimingham (both 2.5 miles); thanks to coastal erosion, this is a great spot to go fossil-hunting. The region is also wonderful for walking with the Norfolk Coast Path running in both directions. Opportunities for days out include Blickling Hall National Trust (11.5 miles), the magical BeWILDerwood (17 miles), and the popular seaside towns of Sheringham, Cromer and Mundesley (all within 8.5 miles).

We loved the house with it's many rooms and interesting decor. We made full use of the games room in the conservatory. The garden was big and beautiful, perfect for a dog and outdoor games or to sit and relax. The owners were really helpful with any questions we had during our stay. Beautiful weather all week which was a bonus.
Elaine
Lovely farmhouse in a great location. We had a few issues but the owners helped to resolve them very quickly. Very comfortable, excellent playroom/equipment and grounds for the children. Great beach at Overstrand, Bure Valley railway and NT properties nearby.
Clare
This is a lovely house in a great location. The extensive gardens are lovely and extensive, it was always possible to find a peaceful space. The conservatory is a perfect playroom, making the children feel welcomed. The space was just right, lots of comfortable space to get together and five generous bedrooms. It is well equipped throughout, and the beaches are near and glorious
Christine
We loved the house and its characters and features. The garden was so big and beautiful. The location was quiet and perfect and close to Cromer and Sheringham. However you do have to drive to eat out or go to a shop. We did have a few concerns which we have shared separately with the owner. Hopefully he will take them on board and make improvements.
Elizabeth
Bizewell Farmhouse is a comfortable & well equipped house in a great location for walking the splendid Norfolk Coast Path. Don't miss the Cliff Top Cafe at Overstrand!
