Anchor House Mount Pleasant Reviews

Oliver
Honestly, Anchor House exceeded our expectations. The size isn't fully clear from the brochure - it's really spacious, perfect for our group of twelve without feeling cramped. The house is well-equipped, warmand super cosy. Having Sky Sports on the TV was a real bonus! It's about a 20-minute walk into Bideford along a flat, paved path, which is handy. Parking was never an issue either. The pool table could use a bit of TLC, but honestly, that's a minor gripe. We'd definitely recommend it!
Emma Collins
This place was just what we needed! Spacious and cosy enough for all of us, plus the Tarka Trail right outside made dog walks a breeze. Plenty to explore nearby too. We honestly had an amazing holiday and would definitely come back again!
Martin
We're a big family, from kids to seniorsand this place was just perfect for us. The house is really roomy and comfyand being so close to the Tarka Trail meant we could cycle and walk easily without fuss. The weather was fantastic during our stay, which made everything even better. Definitely a lovely spot for a family getaway!
Emma Clarke
We had a fantastic stay with a group of 9 adults, 2 teensand a toddler, all comfortably accommodated. The house was super spacious and well-stocked - the huge kitchen had everything we needed, including two dishwashers, three fridgesand three freezers. The 14-seater dining table was perfect for everyone. Loved the big TVs during the Euros! Outside space was lovely and parking was plentiful. Honestly, can't think of a single negative point, we'd definitely return!
Amelia
We had a lovely stay at this house. The hot tub and BBQ hut were real highlights, especially enjoying the BBQ hut during winter. Just a heads up, one twin room and a small double are upstairs and separate from the main bedrooms, both with en-suites. The double is a bit cosy, so the adults in that room felt a tad squeezed compared to others. Still, overall, a fantastic spot for a big group getaway. Would definitely recommend!
Christine
Amazing house , fully equipped with absolutely everything you need . Set in an ideal location with lovely views across the river & a short walk into town . Definitely recommend staying at Anchor House if you want a great weekend away with friends & family .

The place was absolutely stunning! Honestly, the photos don't really capture how lovely it looks in person. The owners clearly put a lot of thought into everything. We had a fantastic stay and would definitely come back. Highly recommended!
Emma
Every October, we gather as a family to catch up and unwind. This place was just right-spacious, well-equippedand in a great spot. We really enjoyed our stay and definitely hope to return soon. Highly recommend!
Sam
We had a fantastic stay at this place for our annual trip with friends in our 60s. The house was spacious and really well-equipped in the kitchen, which was a big plus. It was spotless and bright, making it a lovely environment. Plenty of hot water meant no worries there, though we didn't need the heating. The games room looks fun, especially for families, even if we didn't use it. Being close to the Tarka Trail for walks into Bideford was perfect. The management team was quick to respond to our questions. Overall, we'd definitely recommend it!
Emily
This is a fantastic property for a big family or a get-together with friends! With 6 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms plus another toilet downstairs, you won't run out of space. The internal area feels really comfy and spacious, especially the kitchen diner, which is perfect for large groups.
Thomas
We had a comfortable, well-equippedand maintained house in a lovely setting. There was plenty of space both inside and out for a house party. It was a very enjoyable stay!
Sarah
This was our second time at Anchor House, which is such a lovely property in a stunning location. The space is amazing and the hot tub is a fantastic extra. Everything was really clean and Neil's response about our arrival time was very prompt!
