About Coastal Haven

This delightful Devon retreat is located in the family-friendly seaside resort of Dawlish, known for its sandy beach, traditional amusements and convenient amenities. Dawlish is famous for its black swans and offers a picturesque riverside walk, along with a variety of shops and cafes. Just over 2 miles away lies Dawlish Warren, featuring a sandy beach set on a sand spit between the Exe Estuary and the ocean. For avid walkers, the Exe Estuary Trail leads to Exmouth via Cockwood, where you can enjoy harborside pubs, while the famous South West Coast Path passes through Dawlish. Nearby attractions include Powderham Castle (6.5 miles), the vibrant city of Exeter (15 miles), and the charming old port of Topsham (13.5 miles). Regular trains follow this scenic route, considered one of the most beautiful rail journeys in the UK. Additionally, boat enthusiasts can take a ferry from nearby Starcross (5 miles) to Exmouth. Step inside and discover a welcoming home away from home with calming decor and ocean-inspired artwork. To your left, find the cosy lounge with its comfy seating arranged around a Smart TV and a crackling wood burner, offering the perfect ingredients for a movie night together. When stomachs start to rumble, head through to the well-appointed kitchen where you’ll find all the space and amenities needed to cook up holiday feasts for your loved ones, who can gather to eat at the breakfast bar in here if numbers are low, or more formally in the separate dining room. When it’s time to rest heads, follow the stairs to the first floor and choose from three sumptuous bedrooms, served by a well-equipped family bathroom. The bedrooms include a king-size room with a vanity area and storage space, another king-size, and a bunk bedroom that little ones will love. Outside to the rear of the property is an outside WC, and a few steps lead to an enclosed, tiered garden with artificial grass and a raised decking area under a pergola. Use the bistro-style table and chairs here to enjoy peaceful morning coffees or al fresco evening meals together.

Coastal Haven Reviews

Trish
Excellent property and location very close to beach will certainly book again
Paul
Lovely cottage lots of character.
Barbara
Lovely comfortable cottage in a great location near Dawlish. We really enjoyed our riverside walks into town. The cottage was spotlessly clean and well equipped with plenty of space. The garden was perfect to sit out in with a glass of wine! Thank you very much.
David
Lovely cottage in a great location very close to town and very quiet. Would stay there again.
