Tumbles Lodge Reviews

Lucy
Fantastic house, guests aged 4-80 used the pool whilst others observed from the kitchen table. we had the best time.
Heather
Luxurious cottage. We had a wonderful family holiday. Being able to see the pool from the dining area and games room was a definite advantage. The cottage is fully equipped with everything we needed. We would definitely go again and we recommend this property.
Alison
A really great place to stay with a large, extremely well equipped kitchen, and comfortable beds spread over 3 floors. We loved the swimming people, the lounge upstairs and the garden especially! Good spacious rooms all round The kitchen was really great, and good to have a separate utility room for washing machine and extra fridge, for drinks! Great location, we would love to come back. Also was so great to have scones with jam and cream, and wine and milk waiting for us. Little things like enough loo roll to get you started, dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, teabags etc - make such a difference after a long journey. Thank you so much!
Ken
Fantastic house with great facilities. Extremely clean and well presented. Lovely swimming pool, sauna and garden. Would definitely book again.
Pauline
This thatched "cottage" is huge and in a very quiet rural location down a very narrow lane but only 3 miles from Bude and its beaches. The house is very well equipped and everyone enjoyed the large indoor heated pool especially. It makes up for disappointing Cornish weather when we visited. 14 people can sit round the huge dining table and there are plenty of plates, cutlery and glasses. One slight disadvantage is that the house is on several levels with child/dog gates on the stairs, making navigation hazardous for less mobile people. The beds are all comfortable with appropriate duvets. The showers work better than the baths, which were very slow to fill with low pressure water. There is a table football game and space outside for games with a small goal. Lots of good quality towels were provided.
Kathryn
Lovely spacious cottage but a few little niggles over the week, not enough cutlery for 11 guests, only one set. Be warned the hot water is very hot and the pool seemed to get colder as the week went on could also do with some sort of timer in the sauna. Our biggest disappointment was no swing or slide in the garden
Sharon
Lovely house with lots of space. Great pool and garden. Lovely surroundings
Mark
Tumbles Lodge was a great base for our family. There was plenty of room for everyone and with several bathrooms available it meant nobody had to share.
John
Fabulous cottage. Perfect layout for families. Great countryside location. Lovely, thoughtful welcome pack.
Sapphire
Beautiful cottage in a prime location with everything you could possibly need for a home from home experience. All rooms comfortable and well equipped, separated off to ensure maximum privacy. Lovely large swimming pool which was used daily and secure garden for children and dogs. Superb large kitchen dining area a perfect hub for the home, we barely used the 2 lounge areas as the kitchen was perfect for entertaining and relaxation Ample car parking for up to 6 maybe 7 cars. Would we book it again, YES, without a doubt Fantastic property and great value for money
Rachael
Fantastic Christmas family break! Tumbles Lodge was beautifully and tastefully decorated for the Season. Lovely personal touch of mince pies, cream & other goodies upon our arrival. The cottage was beautifully and tastefully decorated for the season, and it was spotlessly clean! The only downside is that the cottage is just beginning to show minor signs of wear and tear to kitchen units and a little bedroom flooring. This certainly didnâ??t detract from our overall experience! The outside area was more than adequate for our dogs. The whole family had an incredible time making some great memories! Would definitely recommend! Many thanks Tumbles Lodge Team!
