The Mill House, Alberbury

Our first family holiday at the mill house and it was absolutely amazing a family of 6 children and 8 adults all having so much space to play and have fun , hot tub was a huge hit as was the fresh eggs the children collected , a huge play barn and an indoor play area all located close by , we had so much to do and see near the house had trouble getting the children to leave to go out , owners were so friendly and helpful , we were all sad to leave but now all they talk about is going back , would 100recommend for any family looking for a wonderful huge fun holiday home .

Travelled as a group of 10 adults meeting up from various parts of the country . What a find . Set in a beautiful location, very peaceful but easy access to main roads for getting out & about. Very spacious and well appointed . Fabulous to have 7 ensuite bedrooms and 2 extra loos downstairs . We had a very wet day and took advantage of the sauna and the hot tub which was lovely . Private sitting out area . If youre travelling with young children the separate play barn would be great . The owners were very friendly . Highly recommended

A fantastic place. We celebrated my 70th birthday with all my family aged 2 72 and there was something for everyone. Games room was great for the kids and the young adults. Hot tub was huge, with plenty of room and used everyday. Sauna great touch. The rooms were superb and plenty of room all around. Hopefully be back again soon. Only complaint was that we weren't staying longer. Thanks for a very special time.

Large spacious property with plenty of facilities. Large hot tub. The children loved the play barn and the adults loved the Badminton court. The eggs from the chickens were a bonus. Plenty of places to visit within a 10 mile radius or a walk up to the Deer Park. We all had a great time.

12 of us enjoyed a lovely weekend at this fabulous property. All bedrooms are en suite which was so helpful. The property was immaculate, very clean, incredibly spacious and well equipped. The hot tub was a great addition. Mill House is in a lovely area with great walks and National Trust properties nearby. 2 of our group enjoyed the Sunday morning service at the local church. Robert, the owner, was so helpful and friendly. Would highly recommend Mill House.

Absolutely amazing, all bedrooms having en suites was great, the cooking, lounging areas great, sauna and hot tub were brilliant. Lots to do for the younger ones, we did think a dart board would have been good. Feeding chickens and collecting eggs a lovely thing to do. It's been a great few days for all the family.

The house was lovely, and Robert, the host, was very nice and approachable. We really enjoyed the sauna and hot tub, and there was plenty of space for adults and children to play and socialise. The play barn was brilliant, as it covered all the ages of the children, ranging from 20 months to 12 years. They loved going each morning to collect the eggs from the chicken coop. The adults enjoyed a badminton competition in the large barn too! I would highly recommend this place to large groups. Asda deliver there too, so food delivery was easy.

Had a wonderful stay at The Mill House, was lovely to be greeted with biscuits and coffee pods as well as a lovely big clean comfy warm house. Loved all the facilities and the ability to pick your own eggs was amazing! Can't wait to return.

This is the second time a group of us have shared The Mill House for our annual reunions, absolutely ideal for a group of 9. No doubt we will be back again!

A warm welcome from the hosts upon arrival, very friendly and tentative. The cottage was amazing and everyone of my party thoroughly enjoyed their stay there. I would not hesitate to stay at the Mill cottage again.

Fantastic place to stay, very spacious, clean, great things to keep everyone entertained. We all loved having an ensuite bedroom. Great area to explore. Would definitely return again.

Had a fantastic stay. Four generations celebrating my 70th birthday. Loads of space for all ages. All bedrooms ensuite meaning no queuing for showers. Hot tub was brilliant. Loved Jimmys play barn. Electric vehicle charge point was a bonus. Great location for visiting surrounding area.

This is an amazing converted barn that would suit large families. We are a 4 generation family with a one and two year old child and great grandparentes in their late 80's. The Barn enabled us all to get together and enjoy each others company but still allowed plenty of space for quiet time. The hot tub was brilliant and the play area for the children was such a bonus. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Mill House.

We had a Love stay. We couldn't fault the Mill Barn and all the activities on site. There was something for all ages from the soft play for little ones to games tables, badminton to, Jacuzzi and pool. It is perfect for families and groups. We met Mr Evans who was lovely and very helpful. Thank you we had a great stay and will definitely be returning.

We had a great stay at The Mill House property it had all the facilities you would need for a big group or big family stay. We were six couples in their 50s and ate breakfast in everyday and one evening meal. The size of the open plan downstairs made it never feel crowded, the barn next door with all the games and local information was also great. We went in the hot tub and sauna which very clean. It is a good location to visit Shrewsbury and Welshpool with lots of lovely villagespubs also nearby. We walked up to Admiral Rodneys pillar which was a great walk with a fantastic view. We also had a takeaway delivered from the halfway house nearby that was very tasty. We would definitely visit again.

Property was brilliant. Plenty of space. It was clean, lovely and warm. The only queries we had was the photos showed a swing set, we couldnt find that. Also the hot tub could do with a shelter gazebo so it can be used in all weathers.

Amazing property for larger family gatherings and facilities to suit all ages. We had a lovely week celebrating Christmas and birthdays and many memories were made, The adults loved the hot tub and the little ones made great use of the play barn, although the adults were enjoying it over there too with the air hockey being a great game! It was brilliant that it was just across from the house too. A trip to The Windmill Inn was great in their exclusive function room with log burnerjust ring to check availability before you go and theyll start up the fire. Great chips!

We had a wonderful holiday we were three generations youngest 4 oldest 15 there was so much for them to do they loved both the barns which we're full of activities for all ages. The house was amazing it was equipped with everything we needed and it was very clean. The sauna and the hot tub which was a good size we're great for relaxing or in the kiddies case good fun.

This house and its facilities were BRILLIANT. There was 14 of us and this house was just perfect for everything we needed. From soft play, to the hot tub, the huge living room and kitchen plus the games room. There was something for everyone and it was the perfect weekend away for my mums Birthday. We had babies with us and the place was secure and safe with lots to do for them. Thank you so much to Robert who was a lovely host who was there for anything we needed and was so kind. I could not recommend this place enough. Lots of bathrooms, decent sized bedrooms, so clean and the best place for large groups to have fun and relax. I cant wait to return as we loved it.

We had a wonderful time at The Mill. Fantastic property with excellent facilities. The play barn and hot tub was such a hit with kids and adults alike and handy with it being not great weather. Good size, well equipped, kitchen. Great having a bathroom each too. Robert was on hand to deal with any minor issuesqueries promptly.

The Mill House was a lastminute booking for us after our original booking sprang a leak! and it couldnt have been more perfect for a group of old friends getting together and bringing assorted babies, toddlers and children. The house was lovely and spacious, and the children had a splendid time in the soft play area, on the climbing frame, and collecting eggs from the chickens, while the adults took turns enjoying the hot tub! Robert was very helpful, friendly and flexible. The surrounding countryside is lovely, but we felt no need to leave the property, with so much to entertain us on site!

An excellent holiday with lots of fun & laughter. The Millhouse was fantastic. Loved the Play Barn, Badminton, chickens, cats & Millie. Hot tub & Sauna were well used. Fabulous

The Mill House is the perfect venue for a family holiday. The owner was very welcoming and took time to show us around the property.Theres plenty of space and comfort and it is very well equipped. The additional bonus of the sauna, jacuzzi and play barns offers facilities for all ages. We were staying during Storm Dennis and although it curtailed our plans to explore the area somewhat the additional facilities more than made up for wet weather activities.

10 of us from the North London MG Club embarked on our Autumn Tour this year and had a great time at the Mill House. The accommodation and the facilities were as described and made our stay most enjoyable, especially the Hot Tub.

Weve been here before and again it was lovely the people on site couldnt be more welcoming , very good , honest , comfortable accommodation , loved it.

I booked The Mill House for a longweekend with friends to celebrate my 40th. It absolutely exceeded our expectations!! I booked for 8 adults and there was more than enough space for us all. All 6 bedrooms are ensuite and really spacious even the 2 twin rooms. There are 2 toilets downstairs one with a shower which is next to the large sauna and the backdoor out to the hot tub. The hottub is fabulous it was pretty much ready to use when we arrived, sufficiently sheltered but with a great view of the night sky and easily accommodated us all. The downstairs is open plan with again plenty of space, the kitchen leads on to a dining area and then living space which also has a pool table. The large dining room table was great for sit down dinners together, and the living room space had some very comfy sofas and a good sized coffee table for games, drinks, or just chilling with DVDs. It is just such a sociable layout. There is also a large table outside near the hot tub and BBQ where we spent all of our mornings and lunch times given the glorious sunshine. The Mill House kitchen has 2 large dishwashers, a large American style fridge freezer, and a wine fridge great for a large group, and accommodated the large food delivery we had preordered. There is plenty outdoor space too we brought our own croquet set, and an outdoor badminton set, but they also have 2 other barns with a selection of DVDs, more games, indoor badminton, and a climbing frame and ball pit for children. Did I mention free range eggs from the on site chickens? I would gladly book the Mill House again, and cannot recommend it enough. It is brilliantly equipped and both Julie and Robert were ever so helpful during our stay even when one of my friends accidentally left with the Mill House keys. Thanks for a wonderfully memorable birthday!

We are a group of friends who were on a walking holiday and this property was excellent for us. The property was very spacious and cleverly designed to give different areas for people to sit comfortably. Everyone could be seated at the dining table and the kitchen was well equipped. All of the bedrooms being ensuite was an added bonus.The owners were very friendly and helpful. We would recommend this property for large groups.

The cottage was everything we hoped for our Golden Wedding Anniversary. The people were so helpful, the location was perfect and the cottage itself was amazing so much space and with every amenity possible .

The Mill House is a gorgeous property and had everything we needed and more for a lovely break. The facilities were amazing and the location is lovely too. Will be reccomending to others!
