A large hallway leads to a light sitting room, with vaulted ceilings and three large sofas facing a floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace, housing a multi-fuel stove. From the hall, a spiral staircase ascends into a galleried snug overlooking the sitting room. It has a good library of books, and when you need a bit of peace and quiet, it's the perfect place to catch up on some reading and enjoy the views of the countryside. Next to the spacious kitchen, which has a breakfast area and a separate utility, the dining room has plenty of space for the whole family to gather together. Upstairs is conveniently arranged, with two en-suite bedrooms on the first floor and two bedrooms and a bathroom on the second floor, all reached via a traditional staircase. The master bedroom has a TV and a balcony, with wonderful sea views across the meadows and wildlife pond. The garden, meadows and pond provide a fabulous setting for family picnics, walks and ball games in the summer. Lundy, the largest island in the English Channel, can be seen from here and regular boat trips to the island are available from nearby Bideford. With its ample collection of long, sandy beaches, this area of Devon is a great for swimming, kitesurfing and bodyboarding, or, for an easy afternoon, visit the charming fishing village of Clovelly and try and spot the donkeys trundling up the hill with their packages. With so many wonderful things to see and do, a stay in this beautiful chapel conversion provides the family with a huge variety of activities.
