Nicholaston Cottage Reviews

Nick
Great cottage and we all had a fantastic time. Cold November nights with a log fire and the aga gently heating away cannot be beaten in such an amazing cottage and in the daytime stunning views over Oxwich Bay.
Diane
Very comfortable cottage with a fantastic location and sea views. Within walking distance of both the beach and Gower way. The late September sunshine was a bonus.
Adrian
This is a fine cottage, which we have returned to for several years. Great walks straight out of the front door, otherwise very quiet, which is ideal for us. Good choice of bedrooms, and separate spaces for large groups.
Clive
The location was perfect for us and all the facilities provided were excellent
Emily
We love this cottage!
Alison
We had a wonderful stay at Nicholaston Cottage. We were very comfortable and it offered both space and something for everyone. The snooker and table tennis tables were popular. The garden and view is amazing. The cottage is well placed to explore this beautiful part of Wales. Itâ??s a 5-10 min walk to the beach (a bit steep walking back up again) but you can drive and park at Oxwich. We hope to return.
Nick
Beautiful comfortable and clean cottage in a stunning location with fantastic views from the garden and the cottage. Excellent facilities in the cottage. We enjoyed our stay very much.
Mark
Fantastic property - great space when the weather was wet
Iris
Family gathering, lovely house and views over the bay
Nicola
The cottage was top quality and the view was second to none. The view of fields and Oxwich Bay made our stay even more special.
Claire
Lovely house, very well equipped, clean and comfortable. Some tricky steps inside the house as it is on different levels- negotiable but care needed. My dog and I enjoyed the walks from the house up onto the Gower Way and enjoyed seeing the wild Welsh ponies close by. The pool table was popular!
Claire
we found this property to be ideal for our 3 generation family weekend. It is very spacious, comfortable and well equipped. It has a wonderful view from all the rooms over Oxwich Bay and has easy access to all the other stunning beaches in the area. The garden is great for the dogs being secure and visible from inside the house. The weather wasn't suitable for us to make use of the garden on this trip but it would be perfect in the better weather when you can open the sliding doors to the garden patio and sit out overlooking the bay.
Gail
Wonderful property for large groups. Space to socialise but also space to spread out. So great to find a property where all the bedrooms are on suite. Plus 2 more toilets downstairs. Beautiful views of Oxwich bay r Fr from all rooms. Lovely walks directly from property. Plus other beautiful beaches a short drive away. Loved it so much the first visit went back a second time.
Chris
We have just returned from our second visit. The house suits our multi-generational family and dogs so well. It is warm, comfortable, relaxing and spacious, with room for us all to come together or spread out as the mood takes us. We appreciate each bedroom being en suite, there is everything you need in the well equipped kitchen, and we were well entertained with pool and other games. The location is fantastic with amazing views from every window and walks from the front door. We love it and would highly recommend a visit.
Fiona
Fabulous location overlooking Oxwich bay and comfortable cottage which coped very well with our extended family gathering
Geoffrey
This cottage is very good for large families or several family get togethers. Nicely positioned for lovely beaches and walks.
Adrian
Lovely cottage, with perfect location for us. We love to walk, and such ready access to both moors, beach and coastal path is fantastic; then back to a walk cosy cottage. We come back most years!
Emma
Absolutely gorgeous house with stunning views. Loved all the walks directly from the property. All the bedrooms face the bay and have en-suites. Having a snug and study as well as a lounge was super handy. It felt like a proper home. Perfect.
Gill
We all loved it, so spacious, so well provided.
Sarah
The cottage and surroundings are beautiful. Each bedroom has an en-suite, which was quite convenient for separate families.
Clive
Excellent accommodation.
Susan
Very large property which gave us the 4 EnSite bathrooms we needed.
Mark
This is a lovely cottage and we would probably stay there again
Lyn
Lovely house and views. A few niggles but overall enjoyable. The option to pay a damage deposit rather than a non-refundable damage waiver should be a clear option at the booking stage.
Don
Great location. Very spacious and comfortable. Plenty of room to relax even with a large group of people. Doubt if you could find better views to wake up to.
Sheila
Nicholaston is a lovely holiday cottage in a superb location overlooking the bay. A couple of minor issues but this did not detract from our holiday. The cottage is very clean and comfortable. Beautiful nearby beaches and cliff top walks. The Oxwich Bay Bistro is excellent for food & service. We would not hesitate to return.
Carol
A beautiful house in a stunning location. Very handy for the beach and all the attractions on The Gower. The house is warm and spacious yet cosy with comfortable beds and excellent showers. We loved the pool table and the welcome pack was a nice touch
John
Ideal location, with great views across the coast, adequate facilities, really enjoyed by the six of us
Anne
A lovely property in a stunning location providing very spacious and comfortable accommodation. Well equipped for large groups. An ideal stay for our 3 generation family, plenty of room both to be together and for everyone to have their own space. The garden was a lovely spot to sit with a coffee and enjoy the views and the walk down to and along the beach was very special.
Karen
This was a wonderful holiday. Nicholaston Cottage is spacious, airy and has amazing views. All bedrooms face the sea, and the view from the dining room and upper patio are stunning. We had a party of 6 adults, and it was lovely to have alunge to congregate in comfortably in the evening, but with ample space to spread out at different times of the day. The kitchen was well-equipped and a pleasure to cook in. The bathrooms are all high-spec and allow a touch of luxury to the stay. The garden is also lovely and even in February, we had some time int he sunshine on the patio. We also appreciated the table tennis table and the snooker. We loved it and are already planning our next visit - a wonderful place for us to spend time with our family.
Margaret
Weâ??ve been going away with friends for more than 20 years and this is one of the best places weâ??ve stayed in inspite of the above issues. Thereâ??s an extremely well equipped kitchen and lovely views from the property. The lounge and bedrooms are comfortable although the shower in the small double is very tiny. However we enjoyed our stay here and would come again.
