As you enter the property, you’ll be welcomed by the spacious hall where you can put down your bags and take off your shoes. To one side, you’ll find the entrance to the opulent living room with its fabulous gas fireplace, deep sofas, cosy loveseat and thoughtful touches throughout. In the opposite direction is the dining room where guests can gather together for mealtimes or to play board games. From here, you can access the unique kitchen with its sea-inspired cabinets and modern appliances that make cooking for large numbers an easy feat. Completing the ground floor is a WC. Upstairs are the four double bedrooms, each of which has its own unique style. Finally, there is both a bathroom and a shower room where you can refresh after a day out exploring. The garden area extends the living space into the great outdoors, with a lush green lawn, outdoor shower, fire pit and plenty of seating so that you can make the most of the picturesque coastal views. Mawgan Porth Beach (half a mile) is an idyllic option for families, with plenty of rock pools and caves to explore as well as a large expanse of sand which is well worth visiting at all times of the year. From here, you can venture off on a stretch of the South West Coast Path towards the fishing port of Padstow (11 miles) or Newquay (5 miles). Newquay itself is home to a total of twelve beaches, all offering something a little different and it is known for being a great spot to surf or try several other watersports, as well as a number of lovely local eateries.

Dene Court Reviews

Anna
Absolutely loved our stay here the perfect place to celebrate my 50th birthday! Loved the walk to the sea, beautiful views, plenty of space for all of us and the dog! Thank you.
Ruth
The house is spacious and comfortable with great views. We loved it and it worked well for 5 adults, each needing some work from home space. It is well positioned for the beach (7 mins down a steep path) and coast path (5mins up a gently sloping lane). There are 3 bedrooms with double beds and one with a king bed. No ensuites, but a separate bathroom and shower room. A good big table on the huge patio with plenty of space for outside eating. The rubbish arrangement needs clearer explanation (there is a special key to open the bins). Come prepared with all the soap, dishwashing liquid, dishwasher tablets and loo roll you think you will need - the initial supply is absolutely the bare minimum. Phone signal is very patchy. A great house in a great spot !
Deborah
This is a wonderful house in a fabulous location. The view is spectacular , the house is located in a quiet and secluded area, perfect for us . Very comfortable and well equipped , we were a party of 6 related adults with a very enthusiastic dog, she loved the beach which is easily walkable and knew where it was after first visit . Only downside for us is that the fabulous garden is easily escaped by a beach loving dog which we managed by close supervision and fortunately she has good recall ,this needs to be considered when booking . Otherwise we had great fun with her playing ball in the lovely garden , this would not put me off booking again as we loved this spacious house and were blessed by amazing weather
Richard
A lovely house, very comfortable, especially the bedrooms and beds. Beautiful view over Mawgan Porth and a lovely garden. It is a steep climb up from the beach so those with mobility issues would be best taking the car to the car park. Plenty of room to park 3 cars.
William
A lovely house and a great place to stay
Kate
Good size property, well equipped and comfortable for a large family/group. The outdoor shower and drying room were very useful additions. Lovely area, the beach, pubs/restaurant/shops in the town were in reasonable walking distance although bear in mind itâ??s uphill all the way back.
Melanie
Lovely cottage, clean, comfortable, well decorated and spacious enough for 6 of us. The views were fabulous and the garden a pleasure to sit in. The walk up from Mawgan Porth is a bit of a climb but not a challenge if youâ??re fit. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, we were lucky with a sunny week in June so enjoyed walks and plenty of beach time. Weâ??ll definitely be back.
Kate
Lovely, well-equipped spacious house, with comfortable beds, lots of living space, a warm(!) outdoor to wash off the sand, place to dry wetsuits and a short walk from the beach.

We have just returned from a lovely week at Dene Court. The house is really homely and was super clean on our arrival and being able to listen to the crashing waves made for a most relaxing time. Just a heads up on the steep walk back up from the beach and also the garden isn't dog friendly or suitable for people with mobility issues. All in all a fab stay and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Dene Court to others.
