Chapel Mead Reviews

Martin
Excellent accommodation, and lots to do in the area
Julia
The house is both spacious, comfortable and has really great views, which is wonderful to wake up to in the morning or enjoy on a wet stay at home day. There is plenty of kitchen equipment which made it easy to cater for our large group. Parking on site is very tricky and needs a second person to guide proceedings. Polruan is a delight in itself and the frequent ferries to lovely Fowey make it very easy to get around.
Selina
We rented Chapel Mead and Gar Cottage together - a great combination for a large family group. The views both out to sea and across the harbour are wonderful both from the house and from the large, sunny garden; the direct access to the small beach was used daily for swimming. We love the peaceful location and the covered patio means you can enjoy being outside whatever the weather. The kitchen is perfect for large groups, as is the sitting room. All in all, a perfect holiday house

Chapel Mead was all we could have wished for. Roomy, comfortable, well equipped and the location couldnรข??t be better. A magical week thoroughly enjoyed by three generations of our family, from two to seventy two
Robert
Stunning location. Access to the beach at the bottom of the garden was an absolute delight. Facilities in the village are also excellent.
Angela
Lovely house & garden with steps to the beach
Amy
Lovely house in a beautiful setting.
Val
Wonderful property in a wonderful location. Perfect for a large family or group of friends. We always take the large house and the small cottage next door which combines our party of 14 very well. The weather always seems to be kind to us.
Claire
Really lovely house with a great location. There are steep steps down but they are manageable. The access to the beach was great. Would recommend parking up and walking down on arrival as the access is narrow and steep so best to check it out before you drive down. Overall a lively place to spend a family holiday.
Susan
A wonderful location, just be prepared for a lot of steps!
Julian
Second stay at this property had a great time, comfortable and cosy.
Mary
This property had everything we needed for 4 couples. Well equipped, spacious, character. There is a view from every room, either sea view or estuary view and the garden is a beautiful place to sit and relax watching the boats sailing in and out. The house had plenty of space in the large farmhouse style kitchen and 2 large lounges for us to spread out. Polruan is not suitable (in my opinion) for those not coping with hills/steps and the roads are very narrow driving in and around. We used the bus service and ferries to get about once we had arrived and walking. A thoroughly enjoyable week in a lovely property. Highly recommend.
Jenny
Beautiful views and garden
Gill
Lovely weekend in Chapel Mead with five friends. Very comfortable and well equipped. Directions were excellent. Fabulous views across the estuary. Great for watching the rough seas. Would stay again. Thank you for the wine.
