Unlike many of the villages to the north of the coast, Mevagissey still retains the charm and character that you would expect, yet offers a good selection of pubs and restaurants serving the catch of the day, please note it is a steep hill back up to the property. For the more energetic visitor there is the coast path that skirts around the whole of this unique county, where you will be sure to find your own cove or sandy beach along the way and discover 'real Cornwall'. Despite enjoying this quiet location, all of Cornwall's must see sites and areas are within easy access, 'The Lost Garden of Heligan', famed for being the birth place of the Eden Project and the Eden Project itself are a short drive away and are both a must-see for any visitor to the area.

About Treleaven Farmhouse

Should you tear yourself away from the property, Truro is a short drive and offers a cathedral and narrow cobbled streets and a wealth of shops, restaurants and a theatre, showing both local and international talent. With its proximity to road links, even Lands End and the Lizard Peninsula are well worth a visit. On entering this substantial accommodation, you will immediately be greeted by a sense of space and light and as you would expect from a property of this size, the shared areas offer ample space to enjoy each other’s company yet enough to find piece and quiet and settle down with a good book. Offering 2 lounges, both with ample comfy seating (one with TV/DVD) enjoying the stunning views. The dining room, again with beautiful views is a fantastic room for everyone to come together with a table big enough to sit the whole party or the tables can be separated for a smaller more intimate setting. The kitchen is extremely well equipped with ample storage and space to whip up a meal for a large party with large gas cooker with hobs, extractor fan, separate grill, griddle, dishwasher, microwave and 2 fridges. The handy utility room houses the washing machine, tumble drier and freezer. Also on the ground floor you will find one of the nine bedrooms with shower cubicle and basin, TV and two separate WC’s. Heading upstairs you will find eight further bedrooms all with en-suite shower rooms, WC’s and TV’s. 3 double bedrooms and 1 twin bedroom benefit from uninterrupted sea views. 3 further doubles and 1 twin can also be found on this floor with a family bathroom. The outside space does not disappoint and is well proportioned to cater for the amount of guests the house can accommodate. Spacious gardens offering an enclosed patio area with garden furniture, BBQ and large lawn area to the front of the property make the perfect area for a family BBQ, games or to just sit back with a glass of wine and enjoy the views surrounding you. The hidden gem is an enclosed heated outdoor swimming pool, that has shared usage with the owner and open mid May until mid September weather permitting.

Treleaven Farmhouse Reviews

Niki
A large group of us stayed, it was great to have a bath room each, the whole house was well equipt and in a great location. The owners were great and more than happy to help with any thing we asked.
Amy
Treleavan Farmhouse is a wonderful place! We, as a party of 15, found it perfectly spacious and set out. We could enjoy eachother's company, but also have space for ourselves. It accommodated all our needs, with a downstairs bedroom for those less able to manage stairs, and all upstairs bedrooms had an ensuite. The views are spectacular. All-in-all a wonderful place for a large party to have some much needed time away, in a beautiful setting! Would highly recommend!
Paul
Fantastic house for multi-generational families. We had children and grandchildren. Pool in garden excellent. Mevagissey is a short walk away. Many attractions there and nearby.
Jane
A spacious comfy house with excellent equipment in the kitchen. Really good separate areas for cooking and washing up-not in each others way! Fabulous swimming pool, lovely views, easy access to village and a good hilly walk across to small beach nearby. Very friendly owner. Always helpful.
Margaret
An excellent base for a family holiday and set in a wonderful garden with a stunning view. All our thanks to Mrs Hennah for a memorable holiday.
Hannah

Kathleen
A very comfortable stay enjoyed by all

We had a lovely week in the house. The kitchen and dining room are well equipped and easy to use. The en-suite bathrooms are very small and quite difficult to use in some cases. It's a pleasant walk down to the town and the gardens will be lovely in summer. The neighbours had a dog which seemed to be let loose and barked a lot.
Paul
Great cottage for large groups. 16 of us were here for my wife's 60th . The location was perfect with only a 5 min walk into town. Everything was great with the house and all our group agreed and had a great time. We would definitely recommend this place .
Jayne
Beautiful big house with amazing views. The kitchen is stocked with every peice of equipment you could need. The bedrooms are lovely and clean with some of the rooms having amazing views of mevagissey. The owner left some fresh baked scones with jam and clotted cream, they were very tasty. We had a large party of family there and had lots of space. We stayed in the farm house. There is a hill upto the house which is steep but we all managed to walk into Mevagissey.
Jennifer
We had a brilliant week - thankyou. The location was perfect and we had everything we needed for our large family gathering. The pool was excellent and well used by the children big and small. The approach to the farmhouse provided us with our daily workouts and the restaurants, shops and, more importantly, the ice cream parlours were only a short walk away. A great holiday.
Matthew
A stunning house set in a beautiful location just before Mevagissey. This meant that we could easily shop in St Austell without the trauma of driving through town! We all walked into Mevagissey, and could look around without having to park there. The pool is extremely large, and is fenced, as is the patio area. Very useful for the littlies. The gardens are stunning with pheasants and squirrels abounding, plus bats in the evening. Lovely place to stay for a large group.
Julie
This was our 2nd visit to this house. Pool in the garden was perfect for the kids ( and the big kids). The house is huge and has everything you need. We had a fantastic time. Ideal base for travelling about or just chilling.
Trevor
Thoroughly enjoyable long weekend, suitable for large gatherings spacious accommodation with lovely outside areas. Not a modern property maybe a little dated but fully functional.
