A raised terrace with table and chairs, sheltered by a stone wall, is the perfect spot to sit and eat should weather allow, and to take in the views across Charmouth to the sea in the distance.
Being so close to the coast, you’ll want to head out to explore the town and coast of Charmouth. A short walk will take you to a good selection of local shops and village pubs, and the beaches. Renowned for its fossils, you can learn about the areas rich geological history at the Heritage Centre on the seafront, before trying to find your own fossils or mermaid’s tears on the beaches. Popular with walkers, the breathtaking South West coastal footpath passes through Charmouth and takes in sites of special interest such as Golden Cap and Stonebarrow. Why not head to neighbouring Lyme Regis with its iconic Cobb harbour, where you will find a great choice of eateries and galleries as well as visitor attractions including Lyme Regis Aquarium, The Marine theatre and town museum.
