Nethercote Brye is a lovely cottage, very peaceful area. Cottage was accessed up a gravel drive which took approximately 10 mins to property from main road Barn conversion with 2 bedrooms either end with own bathrooms Living room was comfortable Kitchen had all amenities Dawn the host was very helpful, friendly and available if needed We would definitely stay again

Lovely conversion, nestled in the middle of a stunning valley miles from anywhere. Walks in every direction to local villages so no need to take out the car. A very peaceful and comfortable week spent in the country.
The cottage itself is lovely, the roadlane approaching the property is in need of a lot of attention. The pot holes are huge. The cleanliness of the property was not great with previous occupancy dirty socks left in the bedroom ,bits of Lego all over the floors in most rooms and the bedrooms were really dusty, the wardrobe could also do with a clean as we had cobwebs stuck to our clothes when getting them out of the wardrobe. Also we had to wash all the plates, glasses and cutlery as they were all filthy on arrival .

A wonderful base for exploring this area of Exmoor. Everyone involved in the booking was courteous and helpful. The track to Nethercote Byre is quite rough so take it very slow and carefully. It was manageable in a VW Golf!

I hate to give 5 for here, but only because I want to keep it a secret, just for us ! We've now been here 3 times and will be back for more. The location is fantastic just birds, cows and sheep breaking the silence. The accommodation is also fantastic and homely. Many thanks for a wonderful, peaceful stay at Nethercote Byre. It was so lovely to be so remote in a beautiful valley in Exmoor. The Byre itself was spacious and cosy, with a lovely outside seating area we enjoyed in an unusually warm and sunny April week. Our Tesco food delivery van, enjoyed the scenic drive up the track, don't let previous feedback put you off booking this lovely holiday home.
