Discover local history at the Threlkeld Quarry and Mining Museum or stock up on supplies in nearby Penrith, 15 miles away, home to a host of independent shops and a regular farmers’ market. After a busy day, pop into the village of Threlkeld to enjoy a bite to eat at one of the two friendly pubs, both just 1 mile away.
