Sandsound Reviews

Barbara
Great location, with some lovely walks from the doorstep to the beach. Good pub/bakery within walking distance and plenty of things to see and do around the local area. Good sized garden which was great formthendog
Lynda
Lovely cottage in a beautiful location. We had everything we needed. The piano and table tennis table were much appreciated on wetter days. Ideal for families and dog friendly.
Christine
This property is lovely although a little tired but it was homely. It has a large safe garden for dogs and children and the amount of toys for little ones was great, the goal post in the garden, the slide, table tennis in the garage, go kart, small bikes, bucket and spades plus more. The beds were really comfortable with good mattresses. A bit disappointed that there was broken glass by the side of the conservatory, why didnâ??t the previous occupants pick it up together with all the cigarette ends they just flicked around. Also the gate at the end of the garden couldnâ??t be used as the pathway was overgrown. A good welcome pack left thank you. Response from holidaycottages.co.uk: Thank you for your review. We will ensure that everything is back in place for the next guests.
Richard
We really enjoyed our second stay in a very well equipped property. Hope to return next year if it's still a holiday rental.
Ryan
We absolutely love the area, and the house has everything you need to enjoy it.
Teresa
Fabulous stay in this very comfortable home , what a great location lots of lovely walks from the house. A real home from home ,very well equipped. Lots of lovely places to visit nearby and the Sunday lunch at the Whitehorse in Holme was delicious. We will definitely be back
Sharon
We really enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect for walking and being able to come with our two little dogs was great. We enjoyed the upside down nature of the house, particularly at dusk and dawn when the barn owls were out and about. The wood burner was a welcome addition and we enjoyed cosying up in the evening with a glass of wine. Pubs locally served great food, we'd recommend the White Horse in the village as well as the Lifeboat across in Thornham. The bathrooms are a little dated & getting to grips with the storage heaters took us a minute but didn't spoil our break at the coast.
Jane
Sandsound is a lovely property in a stunning location. Few minor points with property that could be improved
Peter
The cottage was clean and well equipped, we found everything we needed to be on hand. Loved the location and particularly the close proximity to the beach. Our two little dogs enjoyed exploring the garden and made themselves quite at home in the conservatory. The bedrooms were very comfortable and clean. We would have no hesitation in returning.
J
