Gilestone Farmhouse is a dilapidated old farmhouse which was non too clean and where a number of things did not work. On the plus side, the house was warm, the owner did his best to fix things when we pointed them out to him and there was a plentiful supply of logs for the fire. There was lots of space in the house and it was a beautiful part of the country with plenty of things to do and places to visit. However, we have stayed in better houses for a similar price in the same part of the country at the same time of year.

Had everything we needed, well equipped kitchen, plenty of logs for the fire, even a local cat who we were advised we could allow in the house only if we wanted to! Lots to see and do in the area. Would definitely visit again.
