Foden Lodge Reviews

Pauline
Generally this is a super holiday home with easy access to beautiful parts of Norfolk. 3 generations of our family enjoyed a great holiday.
Janet
This property is ideally situated for easy access to explore all areas of North Norfolk. It is very well equipped and the layout works perfectly, even if you are cooking you are never on your own. The seating is very comfortable and plenty of space for 8. The property is situated at the end of the long driveway and is very peaceful and plenty of space for little ones to play. This was our second stay at the property.
Ian
A really wonderful lodge with plenty of room to get together and socialise. Itâ??s very quiet at the end of a wooded lane and we saw lots of wildlife. A good central position to visit many lovely places. We made some very happy family memories.
Pam
Lovely spacious cottage. Plenty of seating for everyone. A good stock of crockery and cutlery. Vast amounts of storage in the cottage.
Sue
We had a lovely stay at Foden Lodge, lovely peaceful location, open space great for the kids to run around etc and felt safe. Saw some wildlife. Great place for exploring North Norfolk.
Clive
The barn has lots of outdoor space but as it is surrounded by large trees it can seem a little dark. The kitchen is well stocked and has a utility room is very useful The layout is very comfortable
Peter
All in all in a good location nice and spacious but minor details needs addressing.
Andrew
Overall we enjoyed our stay, the large open plan downstairs was a real plus, the equipment overall very good with the wine chiller a nice addition, we loved the island sink arrangement and the large family dining table. The sitting room area is vast and very sociable, the downstairs bedroom helpful. The outside space usable but a little uneven in places for kids play. Unfortunately we felt the cleanliness and obvious wear and tear of the property let it down, it wasnâ??t evident that the property had been cleaned before our arrival for example the outside seating was covered in bird mess, we had to evict spiders from rooms and kitchen cupboards as well as vacuuming throughout, all of the bathrooms need degrees of maintenance etc etc. A real shame as this distracts from what otherwise should be a stunning holiday home.
Mark
Quiet, peaceful location. Well-equipped, comfortable cottage.
Michael
Very comfortable and good, quiet location.
Amanda
We loved our staff at Foden Lodge. The house is spacious and very well equipped. In a great quiet location. Hope to return in the future and would highly recommend
Janet
As a family we really enjoyed our stay in this very spacious and comfortable house and we all slept well in the lovely comfy beds. Very quiet location but within easy reach of the coast and the lovely town of Holt. Perfect for visiting lots of places in Norfolk. Would recommend the Crawfish Thai restaurant for a delicious takeaway and the Britannia in Fakenham for fish and chips
Carol
As a family we were glad to return again to this very spacious, light and airy, comfortable lodge. Situated in a peaceful location at the very end of a winding private road with lawn areas surrounding the property, a perfect place to relax and unwind. We found this an ideal property for the 3 generations of our family with the convenience of a ground floor bedroom containing an en-suite shower room designed for those who may be less physically able. We enjoyed a very happy family holiday at Foden Lodge.
Lisa
Nope. Bed comfy, everything you need
Jennifer
Overall (95%) we were very pleased with the cottage. It is in a lovely position, very quiet and peaceful. The inside was great, like a home from home, good equipment in the kitchen, all mod cons., plenty of crockery, glasses etc. All the furnishings were in excellent condition and very clean. This cottage is certainly worth a visit if you want peace and tranquillity.
Karen
A great property for our 3 generation holiday in Norfolk. Lovely and peaceful for a relaxing break. Nearest supermarket / eating out facilities 15-20 min drive (in Holt or Fakenham) We would go again.
Wayne
Cottage is well located for touring the area. Very spacious and well equipped. Enjoyed our stay.
Dennis
House was in a very quiet and peaceful location and we enjoyed our stay. One problem was there was no shop or pup within walking distance and you needed a car to get there.
Michael
Excellent accommodation suited all our needs. Located in a peaceful country location but close to the coast and many visitor attractions.
