Cross House, St. Issey

This charming cottage near St Issey has bags of space in the house and garden, perfect for a large family group to enjoy a wonderful holiday. There are two living rooms, a games room, and a large, enclosed garden, plus it’s only 5 miles from the beach. The cottage makes an inviting home from home with everything you need for a comfy stay. The first living room has a large, L-shaped sofa, Freeview TV and DVD player, the second one is ideal for chatting and reading (with no TV!). Cook tasty meals on the Range cooker to enjoy at the wonderful dining table, where doors lead out to the garden. Kids of all ages will love the games room, with a pool table, table tennis, books, and beach toys. There’s also a utility room on the ground floor. Upstairs are four bedrooms: a large king with and an en-suite bathroom, a second elegant king, a pretty twin, and a bunk room for four. There’s also another bathroom and a shower room with a large walk-in shower. The kids can play on the lawns outside while the grown-ups enjoy drinks on the two terraces and you all get together for a BBQ. There’s an outdoor shower for rinsing sandy wetsuits and feet after a beach trip too. Head to the coast (5 miles) and golden sandy beaches to go walking, surfing, and paddleboarding. Follow the South West Coast Path through stunning scenery on the headland, and walk or cycle the Camel Trail, which runs along a disused railway next to the river Camel between Padstow and Wenfordbridge. Take the kids for a fun trip to Camel Creek Adventure Park (2 miles), visit the stunning harbour in Padstow (4 miles) and have a go at go karting at St Eval (6 miles).
